Teaching Aims:

Information on foreign port requirements is quite necessary to a shipping company since they frequently furnish their vessels with the updated data in respect to port regulations and facilities. Because agents have a specific knowledge of local port conditions and formalities, shipping lines always appoint local agents for help. This unit aims to help students understand the importance of port regulations and learn how to deal with business letters about agent appointment.
