1. You’re going to babysit your ten-year-old niece this weekend. What will you do to entertain her?

Well, I will play with her and never leave her alone. I will take her out of room and go climbing. We can get fully relaxed and enjoy the scenery. Moreover, I can teach her drawing. I will show her how to recreate the beauty from the nature into a picture. In addition, I can chat with her about the school and my childhood. We can find a lot of fun from our memory. Also, I can teach her playing basketball. If it don’t fit her appetite, I will play the piano or play some music to spare our time.

2.If a mother’s single son were killed in a traffic accident. Do you think she should be allowed to clone her son? Why?

Actually, I don’t think it’s good to clone her son for her and the society. Onthe one hand, no matter how similar it produces another “son” to her, it cannot take the place of the lost one. The deep well of memory and emotion can never be cloned. Also, it’s known to us that there are still too many unknown difficulties and problems in cloning a person. The clone boy may have many invisible diseases that can easily take him away. It must be a terrible experience to his mother.On the other hand, the realization of clone technology may bring a series of social problems which we can’t imagine at present, and will probably make a serious ethic problem in the future.

3.Do you believe in the saying “Clothes make the man”? Why or why not?

Well, that is true in a way.The causes are following.First, a man's appearance is made up of many aspects,including the clothes he wears .When a man is seen for the first sight, people's eyes will always focus on his clothes. Second,clothes are one of the important elements that reflecta piece of one's inner world,as well as his character.That means people who have different styles prefer to different clothes.For example,people in white are usually

fond of peaceful and quiet life.While the ones in red prefer warm and colorful life.Some people enjoy dressing up all the time, whether at home or at work.It tells us that such people are probably serious about everything.

4. Can you just briefly tell me how Chinese food is different from that of western countries?

As we all know,there’re some differences in Chinese and western culture,which also make the difference of the food and cooking skill.Chinesepeople like getting together to make a warm and kind atmosphere. Also, theChinese foods are always been made by many materials,which are mixed in some particular way.While Western diets are more self-contained.Western chefs prefer to coking materials and ingredients separately without mixing the taste with each other.Chinese foods are also very tasty and colorful.By contrast, Western foods tend to be more nutrient and healthy. Butnowadays, Chinese and Western cultures are learning from each other, so the food is.It may be really hard to justify the exact differences between them in the future.

5. Ifa solar-energy car was twice as expensive as a traditional gas-powered car, which would you like to have? Why?

I think I would like to have a solar-energy car. Environmental problems are becoming more and more serious all over the world. Too many traditional gas-powered cars have created a lot of serious problems all over the world, such as air pollution and energy crisis. The gas-powered cars are producing huge amounts of waste gasses into the atmosphere. These gasses are very harmful to both people and environment.

Solar-energy car is designed for more environmentally friendly and gas-saving. It’s known to us, the prices of oil and gas are becoming higher and higher. It will be more economical and green way for a longer use.

6.What aspects of western culture do you find most attractive? Explain your reasons.

Despite the cultural conflicts between the Orient and the Occident, there do exist some admirable ingredients in the Western culture.

Firstly, Western culture are more rational and scientific. They hardly make a decision just only by their emotion. They are serious about their work or study. When they are working or studying, they check every step exactly and try to do things without any neglect or bugs. Second,it’s the equality between parents and children. The parents are not always superior to their children. They give their children more respect and freedom, which makes them more like close friends.

In addition, .it’s the independent personality. Western people have a strong sense of supporting themselves and being independent. They begin earning money to support a part of their own lives when they are young.

7.Would you like to join a tour group or backpack your way round when you go travelling? Well, as far as I am concerned, I prefer to backpack my way round. It’ll be also better to have one or two close friends accompanied. I canlearn to plan my own route and everything before travelling. I can stay at the place and taste the local beauty and culture as long as I like without worrying the schedule of tour group. Besides, it’s better for me to collect informationabout local culture by myself. I can find a lot of funny local custom and stories by chatting with natives. I can go through their lives and experience the unique journey, which only belongs to me.

8. Many people say that computers are making children less intelligent. Do you agree? Why or Why not?

Well, actually, I don’t agree with that computers are making children less intelligent. In my opinion, with the rapid development of Internet and social changes, computer has become

so universal that many people, especially the young, often making use of it for communicating, studying and searching for information.
