Caution:--Maintenanceandrepairworkshouldbecarriedoutonlybytrainedandqualifiedstaffwhoarewellversedinnationalsafetyregulations.--Afterthegyrocompasshasbeenswitchedoffitisnecessarytowaitatleast15minutesbeforeaccessingtheinteriorofthegyrocompass.Otherwisethespherecouldbedamaged!--Neverswitchoffthecompassatsea,thespherecouldbedamaged.

Itisadvisabletoleavethegyrocompassswitchedonwhenlyinginportforperiodsofuptooneweek.

Ifwarningsoccur,theoperationofthegyroequipmentisnotrestricted.Ifthecauseoftheproblemisrectifiedquickly,itispossibletopreventtheequipmentfrombreakingdown.Pleaseinformtheauthorisedservicestaff(viathehotline).Refertotheservicemanualasappropriate.

Whenerrormessagesappear,theheadingisnolongerdisplayedonthecompass;theheadingisnotfolloweduponaconnectedcoursereceiver.Thecompassmustberepairedbywelltrained

staff.

Theheadinginformationduringthissettlingstagehasareducedaccuracy.

Thereforeacontinouslysupplywith24VDCshouldbeguar-

anteed.

Itisrecommendedtoactivatespeederrorcorrectioninordertoobtainaccurateheadinginformation.

ThisappliesalsoiftheheadinginformationisusedbyDPsystems.PleasepayattentiontotherequirementsoftheDPsystem

manufacturer.
