四、教学难点

1. New words: reptile, insect, penguin, crocodile, ostrich.

2. C项模仿范例说出自己所喜欢的动物的种类和特点，制作成一本名为动物世界手册的书。

五、教学手段

1. 教学录音磁带；

2. 教学挂图；

3. 学生和教师用单词卡片；

4. 教师自制相关教具（如：自制课件、小奖品等）。

情景教学法、听说法、直接教学法。

七、教学过程

1. Show some pictures: reptile mammal insect crocodile ostrich penguin whale shark hippo zebra lion butterfly

Ask the Ss to look at the pictures, say them in pairs. (Do you know them? What other animals do you know? )

The teacher show the words: reptile mammal insect bird fish (sorting the animal words into different items)

2. Ask the Ss to listen to the tape 2 times and match.

3. Ask the Ss try to check the answers in pairs.
