enough adj 足够的，充足的

(1)enough是形容词，意为“足够的，充足的”，可以作表语，也可作定语。

One yuan is enough．一块钱就够了。．

We have enough water and bread．我们有足够的水和面包。

(2)enough也可作副词，意为“足够的、充足的”，修饰形容词、副词、动词，要放在被修饰的词后。 He runs quickly enough．他跑得十分快。

It's warm enough in the room．屋子里够暖和的。

Did you sleep enough last night?昨晚你睡够了吗?

(3)enough后常接for +n(pron．)+lo do sth．结构，意为“对……干某事足够……”。

It's late enough for us to stop work．时间够晚了，我们收工吧。

注意：enough作形容词，修饰名词时，可放在其前，也可放在其后。

We have enough money．(=We have money enough．)我们有足够的钱。

Wear v穿戴

wear是动词，意为“穿着，戴”。

My Chinese teacher is wearing a red shirt．我的中文老师穿着一件红衬衣。

He wears a hat every day．他每天都戴着一顶帽子。

【易混辨析】put on，wear与dress

(1)put on着重“穿”这一动作，即由没穿到穿这一过程的完成，意为“穿上”。

Please put on your new coat．请穿上你的新大衣。

Ann put her hat and coat 0n．安戴上帽子，穿上外衣。

(2)wear强调“穿着”这一状态。

My sister wears a blue skirt．我姐姐穿着一条蓝裙子。

I often wear a white shirt in summer． 夏天我经常穿一件白衬衣。

(3)dress既可表动作，又可表状态，但在用法上与Wear和put on有明显的不同：当dress表示动作时，常用人作宾语，意为“给……穿衣服”；当表示自己穿衣服时，一般用get dressed（dress oneself)；当dress表示状态时，一般用be dressed in的形式。

I dress my son every day．我每天都给儿子穿衣服。

I dressed myself when I was young．我小时候自己穿衣服。

She was dressed in a red sweater．她穿一件红毛衣。

【语法讲解】

形容词最高级的用法

形容词的最高级用于三者或三者以上的人或事(物)之间的比较。在表示最高程度，即其中一个在某方面“最……”时使用。在句中使用时，最高级前一般要加定冠词the，句中常含有表示比较范围的介词of或in；of后面一般接表示一群人或事物的代词或名词，in后面一般接一个表示单位或场所的名词。 Bill is the tallest boy of us．比尔是我们中最高的男孩。

Jane has the most friends in our class．简在我们班拥有的朋友最多。

使用最高级时应注意以下几点：

(1)表示“最……之一”的句式，用one of the+形容词最高级+复数名词。

Han Mei is one of the best students in our class．韩梅是我们班最好的学生之_。

Suzhou is one 0f the most beautiful cities in China．苏州是中国最美的城市之一。

(2)当最高级前有物主代词或名词所有格时，不加定冠词the。

Monday is my busiest day．星期一是我最忙的一天。

Jack is Jim's best friend．杰克是吉姆最好的朋友。

(3)最高级前可加序数词和by k等修饰语。

The Yellow River is the second longest river in China．黄河是中国第二长河。

Asia is by far the largest continent in the world．亚洲是世界上最大的洲。

2．最高级形式的构成

(1)单音节词和部分双音节词在原级后加-est构成，具体情况如下：

①单音节词及部分双音节词在词尾后加-est。

great--greatest clever--cleverest

②以e结尾的单词，在词尾后加．st。

nice--nicest fine--finest

③以辅音字母 y结尾的单词，把y变为i，再加-est。

happy--happiest heavy--heaviest

④重读闭音节单词末尾只有一个辅音字母的单词，双写最后的辅音字母，再加-est。

hot--hottest big--biggest

(2)绝大多数双音节和多音节形容词前面加most构成最高级。

important--most important interesting---most interesting

beautiful--most beautiful popular--most popular

difficult---most difficult creative--most creative

boring--most boring expensive--most expensive

(3)不规则变化

少数形容词(和副词)的比较级及最高级变化不规则，我们要熟记。

good／well-~better---*best bad／ill／badly-~worse--*worst

many／much-+more--+most little---less---~least

， farther--*farthest

further_—furthest
