4.4QoSControllers
Dependingonthealgorithmsused,weapplydifferentfeedbackcontrolloopstocontrolQoTinthepresenceofunpredictableworkloadandinaccurateexecutiontimeestimates.PC-MPUemploysoneutilizationcontrollerandtwomisspercentagecontrollers,i.e.,onecontrollertoadjusttheutilizationuaccordingtoareferenceurandtwocontrollerstoadjustmMandmOaccordingtothereferences

unpredictabler,respectively.TransactionsinRTDBsoftenabortsorrestartsduetodataandresourceconflicts.Further,theexecutiontimeofthetransactionsdependsontheirdataneeds,whichmayvaryovertime.Thismakesthedeadlinemisspercentagespronetoovershoot.ToavoidovershootsgreaterthanMp,theloadofthesystemisconstantlychangedaccordingtoalinearincrease/exponentialdecreasescheme.Initially,theutiliza-tionreferenceurissettoul.Aslongasthemisspercentagesarebelowtheirreferences,urisincreasedbyacertainstep.Assoonasoneofthemisspercentagesisaboveitsreference,ururðkþ1Þ¼urðkÞþisureducedexponentiallyaccordingto
