4 Requirements

The following limit values are minimum requirements, which must be met both by currently re-leased components and new developments.

In addition, the persons responsible for the material release of the specific brand of vehicles in theGroup have the option of establishing different limit values.4.1

Condensable Constituents per PV 3015

G = 2 mg.

Deviating from this, G = 5 mg applies to natural leather.4.2 4.2.1

Emissions of Organic Compounds per PV 3341Total Emissions

EG = 50 µgC/g.

Deviating from this, EG = 100 µgC/g applies to natural leather.4.2.2

Inpidual Material Emissions

Ei = 0 µgC/g.

The inpidual emissions limit value applies to all materials are listed in Section III. CarcinogenicIndustrial Substances (Section A: Industrial Substances Clearly Shown to be Carcinogenic) of thethreshold limit value list of the German Research Foundation.4.3

Odor Test According to PV 3900

Odor grade = 3.04.4

Formaldehyde Emissions According to PV 3925

Formaldehyde discharge potential = 10 mg/kg.

This test applies only to materials or components for which formaldehyde emissions are antici-pated due to the material structure.5
