By the end of this program, the participants should be acquaint themselves with the following skills aboutGE Energy’s DCS (OC6000e/OC4000e):
· Know the system architecture of OC6000e - controller, UDH and HMI.· Know how to install the OC6000e software in HMIs.
· Know how to set up and revise control arithmetic configuration about a special object process.· Know how to create the global database about a special object process.
· Know how to make operator figures - dynamic link with global points for display and operation.. Know how to take system diagnostic· Finish exercises designated
· Finish a course design (commissioning to a small project)
OBJECTIVES (Including, but not limited to)
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This program is intended for the engineers who will be responsible for the OC6000e systemmaintenance. It is expected that the personnel will have hands-on experience with their
boiler/turbine/generator systems and automation. This training will familiarize them with the softwarecomponents of the OC6000e system, making them have the knowledge and maintenance skills aboutthe system. By the carefully designed exercises, it will develop more skills on OC6000e softwareconfiguration/figure making/system diagnostic and maintenance/project software commissioning.
PREREQUISITES
Students must possess the following:
· A basic understanding of power plant and its operation· Familiar with their power plant
· Reasonable computer skills (Windows XP)

Facilities
1. Each students will have a tabletop computer which can be used with single way or network way,optional software is the simulator objected at a 600 MW super critical unit; 2. A mini-OC6000e cabinetwhich includes controllers, some I/O modules, switchers etc hardware.
