（一）特邀报告

Mixed Type Equations and Degeneracy

辛周平（香港中文大学）

In this talk , I will survey some recent progresses on the studies of steady compressible flows which have

important applications in aerodynamics. Such flows are governed by the well-known compressible Euler systems. The emphasize will be transonic flows in nozzles with variable sections where the steady Euler system changes type and has strong degeneracy. We establish some important geometric properties the degeneracy curve (sonic curve) for steady ir-rotational flows.Base on this, we will give the first existence of Meyer-type smooth transonic flows in a class of De Laval nozzles. Some related results will also presented.
