Having good etiquette (礼节) at the workplace is very important to be a favorite in an office. However, it's observed that many people aren't aware of the workplace etiquette and this creates a very bad impression in the office. So it's important to know some workplace etiquette tips.

Among all the workplace etiquette guidelines, the most important is to be punctual to your office. Though going late due to an emergency is okay, habitual late comers are never appreciated in any organization. By arriving at your office on time, you show that you're aware of your responsibilities and have respect for the organization. In case you feel that you would be late, call the concerned authority and report the matter to him or her.

Also, a proper knowledge of the workplace email etiquette is a must. In the official emails, you need to

mention the subject briefly, while at the same time include all the important details which are to be shared. You should use good and grammatically correct language while writing emails.

A knowledge of telephone etiquette in the workplace is very important as well. While talking on the telephone, be polite and listen to what they're saying carefully. Only then should you say what you feel. Speak in a voice which would be heard clearly at the other end.

The workplace guidelines are important even while you're dining or celebrating with your co-workers. If you get a call in between, receive it after you're permitted by the others by saying “excuse me”. Don't talk loudly while eating. Greet people well and try to make them feel comfortable while being in your company.

These guidelines will help you become the best employee of a company. All the best!

Looking for a new weight loss plan? Try living on the top of a mountain. Mountain air contains less oxygen than air at lower altitudes(海拔), so breathing it causes the heart to beat faster and the body to burn more energy. Studies have found that athletes training at high altitudes tend to lose weight. Doctor Florian Lippl in Germany wondered how the mountain air would affect obese(肥胖的) individuals if they weren't doing any more physical activity than usual.

Lippl and his colleagues invited 20 obese men to an environmental research station about 300 meters below the summit of Zugspitze, a mountain around 2,970 meters near the Austrian border. This was no hiking expedition. They were allowed to eat as much as they liked. The men also gave blood so that researchers could test for hormones (荷尔蒙) linked to appetite(食欲)and obesity. At the end of the week, the men, whose weight starting out was 105 kilograms, had lost about 1.5 kg on average. The men's blood pressure also dropped, which the researchers owed to weight loss.

Exactly what caused the weight loss is uncertain. Loss of appetite is common at higher altitudes, and indeed the men ate significantly less than usual — about 700 calories fewer per day.

Appetite loss at high altitudes could certainly be key, notes Damian Bailey, a physiologist, who himself recently lost 11 kg during a 3-month expedition …… 此处隐藏:5408字,全部文档内容请下载后查看。喜欢就下载吧 ……
