ElectricalandElectronicEngineering,ImperialCollegeLondon,London,U.K.,whereheiscurrentlyProfessorinnonlinearcontroltheory.From1998to2003,hewasalsoanAssociateProfessorattheDepartmentofElectronicsandInfor-mation,PolitecnicoofMilano,Milan,Italy.Since2005,hehasbeenaProfessorwiththeDipartimentodiInformatica,SistemieProduzione(DISP),UniversityofRome“TorVergata,”Rome,Italy.HehasbeenVisitingLecturerinnonlinearcontrolinseveraluniversities.Hiscurrentresearchinterestsincludemathe-maticalcontroltheoryandcontrolapplications,withspecialemphasisfortheproblemsofdiscontinuousstabilization,robuststabilization,robustandadap-tivecontrol,observerdesign,andmodelreduction.Heistheauthorofmorethan90journalpapers,20bookchapters,andmorethan200papersinrefereedconferenceproceedings.Heistheauthorofthemonograph“NonlinearandAdaptiveControlwithApplications”(Springer-Verlag).
