基督教箴言简介(2)

言多必失。（智者慎言）

Person who knows good deeds, but not to the line, this is his sin. 人知善，而不行，他之罪。

Stolen water is sweet; food eaten in secret is delicious! 偷来的水是甜的，偷吃的饼是香的。 Joy may end in grief. 乐极生悲。

A righteous man may have many troubles. 义士多苦难。（自古英雄多磨难） 5、关于家庭生活的箴言

家庭是社会的细胞，家庭的稳定是社会安定的基础，中国的传统文化中一直重视家庭的重要性。“忠孝悌”的核心是孝，只有孝，才可能忠，所谓“百行孝为先”，家庭的观念在东方文化中占有最重要的位置。虽然基督教会倡导教会为家，教徒为兄弟，但对于家庭的和睦和子女教育还是很重视的。从箴言中我们也可以看出：5

Better a dry crust with peace and quiet than a house full of feasting, with strife. 设筵满屋，大家相争，生活简朴，和睦相处。

White-haired elderly, the good judge; high people will make, how wonderful! 白发老人，善于判断；年高的人，会出主意。（家有老人是个宝） A loving atmosphere in your home is the foundation for your life. 一个充满爱的气息的家庭是你的人生最基本的所有。（家和万事兴） My son, hear the instruction of your father, and forsake not the law of your mother。

我儿，要听你父亲的训诲，不可离弃你母亲的法则。

根据《圣经》记载，上帝用六天的劳动创造了万物和人类。人类的始祖因“原罪”被赶出伊甸园后，便来到人间开始了艰辛的劳动，靠劳动成果养活自己。箴言中规劝人们重视劳动的警句选录如下：6

He who works his land will have abundant food, but the one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty.

耕种田地，必得饱食。追随虚浮，足受穷乏。

Flies, the bees are tiny, but her products, but it is the most willing to jelly. 蜜蜂是微小的，但她的产品却是最甘饴的。 He who stands firm to the end will be saved. 惟有忍耐到底的，必然得救。 (苦尽甘来)

Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. 骄傲使人落后。
