The phenomenon of unemployment has aroused great public concern in China in recent

years. According to a recent survey, in Beijing alone there have been 12.36% workers who have been out of work in the last two years. The trend has been catching on. When people chat with each other, when they turn on the television and when they read the newspaper, they may find that unemployment in China is becoming a hot issue. A number of factors could account for the phenomenon. Firstly, with the development and growth of science and technology and with the progress of society, a workforce with updated knowledge and skills are needed. Those who can hardly meet the needs of society lose their jobs. Secondly, an increasing number of machines have taken the place of some work so that some workers have no work to do and are laid off. Thirdly, it is time that the country shifted from planned economy to market-oriented economy.

Some measures should be taken to reemploy the unemployed. On the one hand, the country needs to open up sufficient opportunities to those who are in bad need of work according to their respective skills. On the other hand, those who are unemployed need to take up lifelong learning to update their knowledge in order to reposition themselves. Only in this way can the issue of unemployment be solved in a reasonable and rational way. (235 words)

In the final analysis, there is less conflict or generation gap between parents and children since they meet with each other occasionally, which may be helpful to the improvement of the relationship between them. Accordingly, living alone has won support from other people.

From the discussion above, we can see that both living with parents and living alone have their respective advantages. As to how to make a choice between them, several points should be made clear. To begin with, we should examine closely the actual situation. What is more, we need to weigh their risks and benefits in the actual situation.
