The effectiveness of a learning method varies from pers on to person and also from activity to activity. Learning by d oing, learning by reading, and learning by listening all have the transfer of information as their goal, but the information is transferred in very different ways in each case. Each has it s benefits. In my own opinion, learning by doing is the meth od that works best for me.

Learning by doing works because it gives a learner fir st-hand experience. Other methods are more passive; youre either listening to a conversation or trying to pay attention to words on a page. However, learning by doing means act ually participating in the activity. Can you imagine learning how to play a musical instrument from a book? As the sayin g goes, practice makes perfect. Frankly, I cant think of a way that better ensures one has truly learned than by seeing an d doing.

In contrast, reading makes learning less easy to visual ize. Not only that, learning by reading often requires extra re search, such as looking up unfamiliar words

The new nurses considered that skill-ful technique and good theoretical knowledge were the most important,while the patients,patients' family members and working staff considered that service attitudes,sense of responsibility,communication skills,teamwork and other humanistic qualities were the most important. Conclusions There were significant differences in terms of nursing quality between the new nurses and other groups. The teachers should reinforce the cultivation of a sense of service,humane care,communication skills and

profes-sionalism training for students.
