A Schematical Study of Second Language Vocabulary Acquisition Based on Lexical Semantics

Abstract: Second language acquisition is a complex psychological process in which vocabulary acquisition is one of the important components. Lexical semantics specifically studies the meaning of vocabulary; thus, using some lexical semantic principles to study how we acquire English vocabulary can enhance our understanding of second language acquisition. In order to facilitate and maximize learners' intake of language, we have to increase and strengthen the input of vocabulary.
