Au+Au/Pb+Pbreactionswithtwodifferentmodels.TheUrQMDmodelisbasedonstring-hadronicdegreesoffreedom,whereastheqMDmodelcontainsanexplicitquarkphaseandatransitionfromquarktohadronicmatter.CBSisfoundtodecreasefromthelowerenergiestowardsthetopRHICenergyinbothapproaches.AtthehighestRHICenergytheCBSvaluefromthehadron/stringtransportmodelisroughlyhalftheoneexpectedinthecaseofaQGP.However,thecalculationincludingaphasetransitiongivessimilarresultsaswithoutphasetransition,inclearcontradictionwithwhathasbeenexpectedincaseaplasmaofquarksandgluonsastheinitialmatter.This ndingistracedbacktothehadronizationprocessitselfthatdestroystheinitiallypresentcorrelations.
