②Master the usage of the modal verb can. And master the general

interrogative verb can and its answer.

①了解自己的特长并且赏识他人的特长。

②培养小组合作意识，通过实践让学生体现学习英语的乐趣。

Teaching procedures

Step 1 Revision

Do some simple greetings.

Step 2 Lead in

First, Let’s do the warm—up

Then, listen an English song.通过I like singing ,Do you like singing?引出句型 Can you sing ?

Step 3 Presentation

Ask the students to look at the pictures. What can they do? What club do the want to join? Then introduces the key words can and can’t.

Step 4 Pairwork

通过小组表演，来询问他人的能力并且告诉对方自己的能力。

S1: Can you dance?

S2: Yes, I can.

S1: Can you swim?

S2: No, I can’t.

Step 5. Listening

1. T: Now let’s listen to the tape, find out the right conversation,

and number them 1-3.

（播放lb部分的录音让学生听，引导学生根据所听到的内容，选出对话的顺序，完成1b部分的教学任务）。

Step 6 A game

To be more familiar with the words and phrases, I can organize

a game like this:

Ask a group of students ,the first student asks the second student : What can he ／she do? Then take turns asking. Step 7 Summary

情态动词can 的用法小结。

陈述句句型：主语 + can + 动词原形 + 其它。

否定句句型：主语 + can + not 动词原形 + 其它。

疑问句句型： Can + 主语 + 动词原形 + 其它？

肯定回答： Yes, 主语 + can.

否定回答： No, 主语 + can’t.

Step 8 Homework

写出自己三件能做的事和三件不能做得事。运用can的肯定句和否定句
