Abstract "Great expectations" was written by a British writer Charles Dickens. The background of the story for the 1812 Christmas Eve to the winter of 1840, the protagonist orphan PIP describes the three stages of life from the age of 7. Through the ups and downs of orphans, the author expressed his views on life and human nature.
