5. Press A to deselect all objects, and then press the B key to activate Box Selection mode, where you can drag a box over the objects you wish to select (Figure 2.11). Press A to deselect, and then try Brush Selection mode using the C key (Figure 2.12). This mode lets you LMB-drag to draw your selection region freehand. This mode is very useful when you are editing the Vertices of a mesh. You can also deselect objects individually by Shift+RMB-clicking an already selected object.

Translate Translating objects from one location to another is done with the G key. Press G when you have an object or objects selected to move them around. Pressing the X, Y, or Z key while you are moving objects lets you constrain that movement along the x-, y- or z-axis. Remember that G is Translate by thinking that you are grabbing an object to move it.
