This standard has been prepared by Technical Committee Schrauben und Muttern mit Außenantrieb ofthe Normenausschuss Mechanische Verbindungselemente (Fasteners Standards Committee).

Amendments

This standard differs from the February 2000 edition in that the designation has been amended by includingthe width across flats for sizes G 1/8, G 1/4, G 1/2 and G 5/8, and that the mass for sizes G 1/8, G 1, G 1/2and G 5/8 is no longer specified.

This standard specifies dimensions and technical delivery conditions for sizes G 1/8 to G 6 (hexagon andoctagon) pipe nuts with thread as in ISO 228-1 and of product grades B and C.

Designation of a size G1 pipe nut, type A, of property class 14H:

The designation of sizes G 1/8, G 1/4, G 1/2 and G 5/8 pipe nuts shall also include the the width across flats.EXAMPLE:
