Part 1 The Analysis of the Teaching Materials. Status and functionsThe main topic of this unit is the “introduction", language teaching and language skills are surrounded by how to introduce. This text gets students to know how to introduce and some language points and aimed to improve students’ ability, such as skimming, scanning and etc. In this period I will focus on the improvement of the students’ speaking, reading and writing abilities.

Part 2 The analysis of teaching aims.Students can master some useful expressions and sentence structures, and develop the students’ ability to analyze the long and difficult sentences Students can improve the reading ability through some reading techniques , for example, skimming, scanning, ect.

Students can enable to know how to introduce, and try to learn how to make a pocket money plan, make have a useful way to spend their pocket money.

Part 3 Teaching important points& teaching difficult points.Students will train their reading ability, such as skimming and scanning. Students will improve their ability of using language, correctly and freely. Students express can show their opinion clearly and completely by using what they have learned this period

Teaching aids

In this period, I will use the multi-media, courseware and blackboard to make the input visible, interesting, comprehensible and thus to make the students interested in the class.

In vocational schools the purpose of our study is to help students learn the basics of English in listening, speaking, reading, writing and language skills. Help the students learn vocational English; draw the students’ attention to learn English and improve students’ self-confidence. Help students develop good study habits and improve selflearning ability; guide students to know and understand the cultural differences. Therefore, I will combine these four kinds of teaching methods, flexibly applied, to achieve the learning objectives.

Part 5 The analysis of Students.

Psychologically, students of this age are full of curiosity and eager to show what they know. They are challenged to take part in varied kinds of activities. Group competition and cooperation help them to learn to cooperate with each other and have fun learning English at the same time. Discussion can greatly arouse their interest in this topic. But it is also the typical characteristic of the students to get easily bored with

a long passage while reading with masses of words. Besides, they still don’t get well trained in reading comprehension, so they are unable to grasp the passage by themselves. As a result, I choose the task-based teaching method. I will design a few activities to help them understand this passage.
