Surprisingly,eventhosetravelerswhodescribedthetripas“relaxing”showednoadditionalju mpinhappinessafterthetrip.“Theywerenohappierthanpeoplewhohadnotbee nonholiday,”saidtheleadauthor,JeroenNawijn,tourismresearchlectureratBredaUniversity.Theonlyvacationerswhoexperie ncedan increaseinhappinessafterthetripwerethosewhoreportedfeeling“very relaxed”ontheirvacation.Amongthosepeople,

thevacationhappinesseffectlastedforjusttwoweeksafterthetripbeforereturni ngtobaselinelevels.
