Tired and thirsty

tired ['tai d] adj. 疲劳的,累的可用于形容肉体和精神上的疲劳，劳累的状态或感觉

I’m very tired! = I’m dog-tired! tired of … 对…感到厌烦 I’m tired of you! 我讨厌死你了！ I’m tired of bananas! 我见到香蕉就反胃！

thirsty = thirst + y 即 n + y = adj eg.: luck + y = lucky You look thirsty. Would you like some drink? thirst [‘θ :st] n. 饥渴，渴望 thirst for … 渴望，渴求 The dog is thirst for bones.

thirsty ['θ :sti] adj. 口渴的

matter 事情(私事，麻烦事) 你怎么啦？ What s the matter (with you)? = What s wrong with you? 手表怎么啦？ What s the matter with the watch? = What s wrong with the watch? thing 事情(泛指所有的事情),东西
