Passage Two

I’m a third year university student and preparing for examinations for further studies． I hope I can become a postgraduate in the spring of 2004． But recently I’ve found I cannot focus on my work because my old girlfriend’s shadow often comes into my mind．

I want to put aside my books and get her love back, but I’m worried that doing this will affect my study． Thinking it over and over again, I’ve decided to call her after passing the exam．

However, I’ve found that even if I could get her love again, by then the distance caused by another three years of graduate courses in a strange city would bring a larger gap between us both geographically and psychologically．
