Hello,everyone. I'm your guide today. You can call me Xiaoli. The site I will show you today is known to all, that's the world-famous wonder--the Great Wall.

The Great Wall is one of Chinese key relics, which was involved in the world heritage list in December 1987. Both our country and our people are proud of that.

Looked from the distance, the Great Wall looks like a

tremendous dragon, winding its way through towering and steep mountains. It starts from Shanhai Pass in the east and ends at Jiayu Pass in the west, which is more than 21100 kilometers long. In the past, it was really a great project which is easy to defend but hard to attack. Built in Qin Dynasty, its length can round the earth once.Amazing, right? Though it was built with huge stones, the top of the Great Wall is rather flat,just like a wide road, which can pass 5 or 6 horses in a row. There lies a

square-shaped tower every 300 metres. Each tower was the station troops' fortress. Soldiers in each tower can cope with each other during war time. The Great Wall is not used in military ways today, but it becomes a famous tourist attraction, it becomes the symbol of China and it becomes one of the most important cultural heritages in the world.
