ABSTRACT

In recent years, with the rapid development of wireless communication, radio waves as the carrier of mobile communications, wireless local area network as the representative of modern communication network has become one of the modern economy, infrastructure support, as the RF transmitter power amplifier front end of the most important circuit part, to a large extent determine the overall transmitter performance, the design quality affects the performance of the whole system. For example, determine the length of the output power of the wireless signal communication distance, which determines the efficiency of the wireless communication device battery life time.

With the help of the powerful ADS simulation software for transistor modeling, on this basis for the stability of the transistor was analyzed, using the load-pull method combined with the Smith chart for input and output impedance matching circuit simulation optimization design . The main contributions are as follows:

1. RF amplifier circuit introduces some basic theory, from the physical structure of the power amplifier analyzes the causes of the RF power amplifier nonlinear characteristic generated and its impact on the communication system, and introduces the Smith chart, stable circuit technology.

2. The basic principle of the power amplifier, power amplifier understanding of classification, introduced the technical specifications of the RF power amplifier.

3. RF power amplifier gives the detailed design process, the use of ADS simulation software, to complete a variety of measures to complete power amplifier design process, the application of load-pull method or the like to complete the design requirements, a plurality of amplifier circuit performance simulation optimization .
