意为“假如人们能得到经济实惠和可回收的塑料袋，他们将不可避免地，积极主动地抵制不可回收的塑料袋。” 1.Assuming that-clause,A. 意为“假使?”，

其中assuming可以用Suppose，supposing，providing，provided 来替换。其中，that可以加可以去掉。

还可以是同义高级的In the event that-clause,A，表示“万一?，”这个that不能少，还可以是同义的短语In the event of sth,A. 2.(sb) be provided with sth，主动形式是provide sth with sb意为“为某人提供?”，其被动形式为(sb) be provided with sth，字面上“被提供?”，引申为“拥有，具备?”，可以用(sb) be equipped with sth来代替。

字面上是“使某人能得到?”，引申为“为某人提供?” 3.recycled 意为“可循环利用的，可反复利用的”.

1.At least in one sense,?。表示“至少在某种程度上，?。” In one sense，A. 和In one way, A.含义相同，同为“在某种程度上，?；从某种意义上说，?。”

最基本形式是in a sense,经常可用one来代替a，an表强调。 加两个单词变成At least in one sense,A.表示“至少在某种程度上，?。”

So at least in one sense,A.“因此，至少在某种程度上，?；因此，至少在某种意义上说?”

So at least in some cases,A.“因此，至少在某些情况下，?；” So at least in some ways,A.“因此，至少在某些方面，?” So at least to some people,A.“因此，至少对某些人来说，?” 2.increase our own sense意为“增长见识”，和这个短语类似的表达还有：

在上面两个短语中，own可以加上，也可以去掉，加上表强调，去掉更简洁。

coupld with 意为“连同，以及，和?一样”。是一个标准的介词短语，可用together with ，along with代替。coupled with 前后必须用逗号隔开，功能是进行补充说明，不构成主语的一部分。 regulation意为“规章制度”

couple这个词除coupled with这个短语需要重点掌握之外，a couple of 意为“几个，若干，一些”

offer a couple of feasible tips on how to do sth. 意为“对于如何做某事，提几条，若干可行的，行得通的建议。”feasible 意为“可行的，行得通的”，可用reasonable来代替，意为“合理的”。 tip 意为“建议”，可数名词，同义词有advice（不可数名词），proposal（可数名词），suggestion（可数名词）。

4.Indispensable意为“不可缺少的”，引申为“至关重要的”。 sth be indispensable to ? ，意为“对什么而言，?是不可缺少的”，

可用sth be of vital importance to ?，sth be of primary significance to ?来替换。

讲到“?很重要”，还可以这样表达，sth be most vital to/for,其中vital可以用essential crucial,critical来代替。由这几个词可以拓展为同意的句子： It is most vital that-clause It is genuinely essential that-clause It is genuinely crucial that-clause It is genuinely critical that-clause

其中，genuinely表示“确实，的确”在从句中必须用虚拟语气，也就是should+动词原形，其中should可以省略。

还可以换成近义的，“?在?中起重要作用”，可以拓展为： play a vital role in 在?中起着重要的作用 play a key role in 在?中起着关键的作用 play a dominent role in 在?中起着决定性的作用

2.sb be in the habit of doing sth意为”养成习惯做?”，引申为“经常做?”，可以用acquire a habit of ，form a habit of ，develop a habit of 来代替。

aquire a habit like this/that 养成这样的习惯，经常这样做 3.make it a rule to do sth，make意为“使成为”，it为形式宾语，本短语意思为“使做?成为一种规则”换句话说，就是“养成一种做?习惯”。由上述句型扩展为：It has been made a rule that-clause.意为“?已经成为”，换句话说，就是“习惯，总是做?”。 4.pay a heavier price意为“付出较为沉重的代价”，heavy意为“沉重的”。由此可扩展出：

It does pay for sb to do sth 意为“做?对某人而言是值得的”，换句话说，就是“人应该最好做?”。it是形式主语，真正的主语是后面的不定式。does表示强调，pay引申为“值得的，有回报的”。

讲到“人值得做?”，还有：

5.with no exception与without any exception同义，意思是“无一例外，统统”。
