W: Well, there’s a two-hour class for beginners.

M: Mmm. My friend would like something shorter.

W: Well, we have a fifty-minute speaking class. That would be good for her. The teacher is Miss

M: How much does that class cost?

W: It’s seven pounds fifty per class or if you pay for all twelve classes now, it is only seventy-eight

pounds – it’s cheaper that way.

M: Right.

W: Can your friend come to the school soon and book her place? The address is 223, Fitzroy

Square.

M: Is that in the centre of the town?

W: Well, not really. You’d better take a bus from the station. We’re by a bookshop.

M: Right. Thank you.

M: And today I’m talking to Angela Morgan. Angela, what made you decide to fly round the

world?

W: People often ask me why I decided to do it but I’m surprised they don’t ask ‘Why did you wait

so long?’ because I’m 57 now! I’m sorry I didn’t do it years ago, because it was such a wonderful experience. But the main purpose for going was to collect £500,000 for sick children by getting different companies to pay us for each kilometer that we flew.

M: And what about preparing for the trip?

W: Well, it took five months to plan. I was going to go with my husband, but he couldn’t take time

off work. Instead I made the trip with my flying teacher.

M: And what was the trip like?

W: It was really exciting. The only thing was that we weren’t able to spend much time sightseeing

because we only stopped to get water and to camp. We had to spend two days in Thailand because of an engine problem, but that was the longest we spent anywhere. Fortunately nothing else went wrong, so we just kept on going after that.

M: What did you enjoy most about the trip?

W: The most wonderful thing about flying was seeing the differences in the countryside as we

flew across 26 countries in 97 days. We flew over oceans and close to mountains. I made a video of the trip; you’ll see it in a minute.

There is a shop in the zoo where you can buy books and games. All the family will like playing these. There is also a café which sells snacks.

Tickets for adults cost six pounds eighty-five and children’s tickets are four pounds sixty-five.

A family ticket, for two adults and three children, is eighteen pounds seventy-five.
