摘 要

语言是一个多层次结构，从词素、词、词组、到句子都有其独特的排列组合

方式，即语序。英汉两个民族思维方式的差异，造成了英汉两种语言的语序也有

所不同。本文希望在既有研究成果的基础上，侧重于分析思维方式这一语序差异

产生的根源，从英汉语的主谓结构、修饰成分、时间顺序、逻辑顺序四方面入手

对比英汉语序差异，从而得到翻译中可使用的语序调整策略，以尽可能等效表达

原文意图,实现更为准确的英汉互译目标。

ABSTRACT

Language is a multilayered structure. The particular permutation and

combination pattern of morpheme, vocabulary, word group and sentence is defined as

word order. Different thinking modes between Chinese and English nations lead to

some differences in word order between the two languages. On the basis of former

researches, this paper focuses on thinking pattern, which is the root of different word

orders, and contrasts Chinese word order with English word order from four aspects

of subject and predicate structure, modifiers, time order and logical order to

summarize practical word order changing strategies in translation, and thus to realize

the aim of presenting the meaning and connotation of original versions as precisely as

possible in the translation process.

0. Introduction

Whenever we give a formal speech, write an essay or do translation, we have to

consider word order to emphasize the most useful information we want to deliver.

Word order, which takes an important part in both linguistics and translation study

fields refers to the permutation and combination pattern of various linguistic units. In

the past decades, there have been many studies on the factors leading to different

word order, the exact differences between English and Chinese word order, and

translation strategies to change word order. On the basis of former researches, this
