Step 1: Warming up.

1. Greetings:

T: Good morning, boys and girls.

Step 2: Presentation

1. Lead in:

T: 我们在上学期认识了很多的小朋友，他们叫什么名字？你们还记得吗？

（生说人名，师出示图片。）今天我们还要认识三个新朋友，他们是谁？Look. （ 画出Alice, John and Miss Williams的图像并板书、带读。）

2. Ask SS to greet to them.

SS: Hello. / Good morning, （Alice）

3. Role-play: 2 Ss act as Alice and John. T acts as Miss Williams. T: I’m Miss Williams. What’s your name?

S: I’m Alice/ John. （To a few Ss）

4. Drill: Role-play between 3 Ss.

5. Teach the sentence: I’m fine. / I’m OK. / I’ m not very well. （An interview）

T: How are you today?

S: I’m fine. / I’m OK. / I’ m not very well. （教读板书，学生如实回答）

6. Teach the sentence: How are you today? （教读板书）

7. Drill: Practise in pairs: How are you today? I’m fine. / I’m OK. / I’ m not very well.

Step 3: Practice

1. A pantomime: T stands behind the pupil and imitates his/ her voice and says sth. about the dialogue. While the pupil just moves his /her mouth. （actions）
