W: The Bucky Card is a great way for you to save money while you have a good time here at school. It gives you discounts on all kinds of things. Movies, pizza, clothing, school supplies. M: That’s pretty cool. How much of a discount? W: Usually it’s 2 dollars off the cover price. M: How muck does it cost?

W: It costs only 19 dollars a year for a card. M: Ah! That’s expensive! It should be cheaper.

W: But think of how muck money you’ll save! You can use it for a year. M: Yeah, maybe. Alright. Give me an application form. (Text 9)

W: Do you need any help?

M: I guess so. I’m just checking these college rankings. I want to find out which schools are the most popular.

W: Well, Southeastern has the most students, if that’s what you mean.

M: I don’t know. I want to know which school is the most fun. Where do they have the best parties? What about Granton Collage? This magazine says it’s a “good times” school. Everybody who goes there has a lot of fun.

W: I’ve heard that it’s popular with students, but are you sure you want to attend a school that’s well-known for its parties?

M: I don’t know. What was the other school you mentioned? W: Southeastern? M: Yeah, what’s it like?

W: Well, it’s a very old, well-established school. Students who are looking for parties should probably look somewhere else.

M: Oh, really? Why’s that? Is it hard to get into?

W: Yes. The admission requirements are tough, a lot tougher than Granton. M: And you said it is really old?

W: It’s an old school. Let me see. Southeastern University…established in 1854. (Text 10)

W: And now it’s over to Bill Casey for the latest news from Germany on the World Cup.

M: Hi, good evening, Jenny. Well, it was an exciting afternoon in Berlin today as England played Spain in the second World Cup semifinal. Spain got off to a good start with a goal by Miguel Garcia in the 5th minute of play. England came back in the 20th minute with a goal by Roland Lockhart and at halftime the teams were tied with on goal each. In the second half, it was all Spain. Juan Salazar scored in the 45th minute and Felipe Gonzalez gave Spain a twogoal lead in the 50th. England cut the lead to one in the 67th minute with a goal by Paul Gregson, but that was as close as England would get. Lockhart almost scored his second goal of the game in the 89th minute, but his shot hit the crossbar and was picked up by the Spanish goalkeeper. Thanks to its 3 to 2 win, Spain now goes on to the final against Argentina.
