In your last e—mail，you showed a great interest in our National Stadium—the Bird’S Nest．Now I’d like to introduce it to you. Located on North Fourth Ring Road in the northern part of Beijing，the Bird’s Nest covers an area of 258，000 square meters and can hold over 90.000 spectators．Its construction was started in December,2003 and will be completed in 2007. It looks just like a bird’s nest made of tree branches. During the Olympic Games，the track and field events and soccer matches will be hosted there and after the Games it will be used for large．scale events． Former UN Secretary—General Kofi Annan praises its design and thinks that it will be an unbelievable symbol in the history of the Olympic Games.
