Language Points

辨析： room; place; space(1) room 意为“房间；空间”,通常 用作不可数名词。如：Could you make some room for the old man? 你能给那位老人让出些地方吗？

(2) place表示“空地；地方”,其含 义通常比较具体，强调地点，且往往 指座位，有时与 seat 同义。如：We'll try to get places / seats at the front of the

hall. 我们将设法弄到大厅前面的座位。

(3) space经常指 “空间；宇宙”。 指 空间时，比room一词空间要大。如：
