range.Wedonot ndanyisolateddwarfswithalargerHItoopticalradiusratiothanDDO154;the“protogalaxy”HI1225+01(Giovanelli&Haynes1989)continuestobeauniqueobjectamongdwarfsthathavebeenmappedinHI.Foralldwarfswithsigni cantrotationweareabletodeterminethesenseofthespin.Foranumberofbetter-resolveddwarfsweareabletodeterminerotationcurves,inmostcasesextendingwellbeyondthelastmeasuredpointinavailablesynthesisarraymaps.Correlationsamongtheseveralmeasuresofgalaxysizeandmassarestudied;inPaperII(Salpeter&Ho man1996)wecombinethesedatawiththoseforthesetofallavailablemappeddwarfirregulargalaxiesandformappedspiralsspanningasimilarrangeofredshiftstoinvestigatevariationsinTully-Fisherrelationsandinsurfacedensitiesasfunctionsofgalaxysizeandluminosityormass.
