Abstract: Pan Yangtze River delta as one of the most rapidly developing areas since the reform and opening up, so explore the spatial evolution of the tourism economic development to promote the coordinated development of regional tourism industry has important theoretical and practical significance. Using the space variation function, 31 cities in the region in 1978, 1983, 1988, 1993, 1998, 1998, 2008, seven years traveling data for analysis. Research shows that Pan Yangtze River delta since 1978 by the space difference changes resulting from the development of tourism economy in growing, distribution differences showing a growing trend; With the deepening of the reform and opening up, the economic development of the regional tourism space is stronger and stronger since the correlation caused by the spatial structural differentiation has a rising trend; The spatial correlation of Pan Yangtze River delta tourism economic development continuously strengthen, and Pan Yangtze River delta tourism association effect on the influence of the surrounding area is becoming more and more extensive; And the region of east - west has a balance development relatively, the south - north has the biggest difference between tourism economic development, as the regional tourism economic development in the mutual fusion and penetration, constantly in the process of widening of the macro level differences and the difference of the micro level is becoming more and more weak.The influence factors of Pan Yangtze River delta development evolution summed up in four aspects: economic development level, tourism resources, tourism facilities, tourism policies and regulations . Finally I made a comprehensive conclusion and points out some deficiencies in order to indicate the direction for further research.
