PS (personal statement)跟一般入学申请essay不同，像是一份学业计划书， 旨在说明为何想申请这间学校,预计在学校内学习哪些技能,毕业后的规划等等。PS顾名思义就是申请者的自述,阐述想要申请的研究计画目标为何。透过PS，学校目的是了解申请者的学业目标, 动机及能力等等

审查委员们想知道申请者的个人特点. 如果是社会科学相关,更是如此

能提出克服艰难情况并成功的例子,更能引起注意 如果无法和申请动机扯上关系, 最好不要提

因为研究生必须和教授们一起做研究, 审查委员偏好做人圆滑的申请者。因此,最好说明曾做过公益活动或是曾为某组织的一员，但请著墨于透过这样的经验,学习到人际关系处理等等

表现出自己对于想要的都能一手掌握的自信
