When he was a child in a private school with a period of education, But at the age of 12, his father was imprisoned because of debt problems, Dickens was sent to a London shoe polish market as an apprentice, working 10 hours a day . Perhaps because of this experience, making Dickens's works more concerned about the social status of working people's lives.
