Speaking by group work (10 minutes) 1. discussing :Do you think Guy Fawkes or King James were right to behave the way they did? who you feel most sympathy for? 2. let the Ss to make the notes of their ideas that are filled in P53(use the structure: I sympathize with… because… ) Step 6. Class discussion(11 minutes) 1. Ask students to express their ideas to tell who do you think most sympathy for . 2.

We will have a vote at last(according the expressions ). Step 7. Homework assignment(3 minutes) 3. Students are required to gain some information about today’s topic. And Ss will show the information next class. 4. Do some research on the geography or history of the United Kingdom. Make a poster or give a talkto the class.

In the part is to develop their research and study skills by searching through the internet or from a library. And let Ss to know more about the UK.
