Thermite 3.0 is designed from the base platform of a Howe and Howe Tech RS1-D2 US ARMY I.E.D. defeat robot. The D2 platform has been proven through years of military explosive ordinance testing at Aberdeen Proving Grounds to be one of the most durable robots ever built. In accordance with Army requirements for all robots to be easily field maintained, Thermite 3.0 fire fighting robot was developed with a "flip-top" platform allowing for ease of maintenance and modification.

Thermite 3.0 fire fighting robot is designed to also act as a mobile high volume manifold. Thermite is capable of a receiving a 5" feed to 2 - 2.5" side outlets with the 600-1,000 gpm monitor nozzle. Thermite is capable of pulling over 100' of filled 5" line through the roughest of terrain. The entire top of the T3.0 fire fighting robot is drilled with .375" holes at a 2"x2" pattern that allows for easy modifications and add-ons for each operating agency.

Thermite 3.0 fire fighting robot also comes equipped with integrated multiple HD analog video cameras and optional Infrared FLIR. Unlike most robotic controllers which come in a large clumsy suitcase, the Thermite controller is held in a single hand and includes the video monitor attached on top. This allows the operator one free hand and an independent freedom of movement not yet seen by other robot manufacturers. The robot is operated by an industrial controller designed for the harshest environments and long control distances of over 3,000 feet LOS.
