词汇辨析1. none ,no one ,nobody , nothing

指代不同：none 既可以指代物也可以指代人， no one ,nobody只可以指代人， nothing只能够指代物

提问不同：none用于回答how many ,how much提出的问题， no one,nobody用于回答who提出的问题， nothing 用于回答what提出的问题。 3、上文已出现过的名词下文只用none来替代(人或物): e.g. Is there any water in the bottle? None. (上文中已提到water,下文就可以用none来替代)

词汇辨析2. seem 和 look

seem是表示说话人主观上的判断，暗含有一定的根据， 往往接近事实的判断； look是根据视觉印象而得出的判断，实质上也可能如此 look“看起来像是”后接adj.、n.、分词、介词短语、不定式 seem,“似乎，好像”,只做系动词。 It seems + that 从句 seems to do sth.

3. In the end , finally, at last

at last只能指时间位置，而不能指时间顺序， 在语义上指经过，周折，等待，耽搁后 的“最后，终于”得到所期待的结果。finally 指一系列事物或论点的顺序，在列举事物时可以用来引出最后一项内容 finally 在意义上与用法上与at last 有共同之处，但也有不同。 finally 既可指时间位置(相当于at last和in the end),也可指时间的先后顺序。 finally 有两个用法：一是在列举事物或论点时，可用来引出最后一项内容； 二是用在句中动词前面，表示“等了好久才……”。

e end 也可以用于指将来时，其余两个则不行。

so是副词，修饰形容词和副词； 而such是形容词，修饰名词。 它们后面接单数可数名词时，词序不同。 so的词序为：so+ adj. + a(an) + n. such的词序为：such +a(an) +adj. + n. 它们可以表达同样的意思，因此可进行同义改写。

so nice a coat = such a nice coat 后面接复数名词或不可数名词时，只能用such,而不 能用so.如： such beautiful flowers 这么美丽的花

但是，复数名词或不可数名词前有many,few, much,little修饰时，只能用so而不能用such, 这是一种固定用法。如： so many books 这么多书 so few people 这么少的人 so much money 那么多的钱 so little milk 那么少的牛奶

no longer与no more的区别 意义区别1. no longer着重表示时间的不再延续，意为“如今不 再”。 no longer = not... any longer。

2. no more着重表示数量或程度的减少，意为“再也没 有更多(大)的数量(程度)”。no more = not... any more。位置区别

当修饰动词时，no longer通常置于be或行为动词前； no more一般置于行为动词后。not... any longer与 not... any more常置于句末。Eg. Now she wasn't afraid any more. He was no longer a thief.

accept & receive

receive 和accept都可表示“收到，接收” 但receive仅是表示收到，接不接受是另一回事， 而accept表示确切的“接受”。 accept多是接受抽象的东西，如想法，表扬，批评， 道歉等 receive多是接受实际的东西，如信件，礼物等

by /beside/ near/ next toby和beside均表示“在…旁边”,常可换用例：She stood by the window. 她站在窗边。 The hotel is beside (by) the river. 那家饭店在河边。 near表示“在……附近”,表示的距离比by和beside稍远些 例：There is a theatre near his home. 他家附近有一家剧 院。 next to表示“紧靠……的旁边” 例：There is a café next to the barber's. 理发店隔壁是 一家咖啡馆
