W: Good morning , Ladies and gentlemen!

S1:Boys and girls

Simon: we’re so excited to welcome all the honored guests here. Thank you for joining us.

S2:The month of December has come and it is a special month. Simon: because we will welcome the 7th Festival of primary school department of our Beijing Foreign language school.

W: Every student has a dream to speak English very well. And here in Beijing Foreign language school, foreign teachers play such an important role in teaching us. Where are foreign teachers? Say Hello to our students!

Simon: English is be coming more and more important in our daily life. In our school, all the teachers and students love English very much. Why do you like English ?

S1:well , I can communicate with foreigners freely and also can go around the world.

W: And how about you?

S2: I think I can make more friends from different countries like England , America, Canada and so on.

W: Besides, we can use English to show ourselves. Now let’s welcome students from grade 6 to give us a performance .

S2: thanks for your great performance. We hope we could be as excellent as you.

S1: In fact, we have already done a lot of activities . Now , let’s see a video about it.

Simon: Now let’s begin the opening ceremony of the 7th English festival . First of all, let’s welcome our principal Yu to give an opening speech.

Simon: Thank you , principal Yu . thank you for encouraging us. W: And boys and girls. I believe we can try our best to learn English well. Can you???

S1: Can you tell me who are they?

Mickey and Minnie:we are the mascots of our English festival. W: why did you choose to be Mickey and Minnie ?

S2: because they are famous and can travel around the world and can talk with their foreign friends. As you know, they are very brave and hard working.

S1: Let’s say Hello to our mascots.
